The Wirral Coastal walk is an annual event. It's a 15 mile walk from Seacombe Ferry to Thurstaston Country Park near Heswall. This is the 3rd time the group has taken part in the walk to raise money for ourselves.

We left Seacombe with 34 group members consisting of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The Beavers, by tradition, terminated at the Derby Pool after completing 5 miles (an excellent success!) along with some of the Cubs and Scouts.

This left about 19 young people to potentially complete the walk. The weather was scorching however, there was a nice breeze to take off some of the heat. We lost a couple more Cubs and Scouts along the way leaving us with an amazing total of 16 finalists. This is our current record!

15 miles is an extremely hard challenge for even the fittest of people, but especially children aged as young as 8. All of you who took part should be extremely proud of yourselves as we are proud of you. A big well done.

Take a look at some of the photos below and try to get your sponsor money and forms back to your section leader as soon as possible.

THE GROUP RAISED SOMEWHERE IN THE REGION OF £1,300
