The Official Centenary Camp

The Whit Bank Holiday Weekend at the end of May were
an extremely busy three days, not just for the 3rd
Wallasey Scout Group; but, for the majority of groups
around Wallasey and indeed the United Kingdom. This
was the weekend we, as Scouters, celebrated our Centenary.

The weekend was jam-packed with activities such as
Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Crate-Stacking, Go-carting,
Abseiling, Assualt Courses and much, much more!

Sadly, the weather wasn't in our favour and for the
majority of the weekend the camp-site was a mud-bath.
However, this was heaven for all the Cubs and Scouts
who seemed oblivious to the fact that using up all their
dry socks within the first 6 hours of camp was not the
most intelligent thing to do!

Meeting members from other Groups around the district
is always an interesting experience for both the children
and the adults. It gives a sense of togetherness, family
and friendship and really demonstrates what "membership"
actually means.
