It is an honour for every person in the Scout Movement to be a part of it during the Centenary year. Therefore, we decided that we would have to do some exceptional activities in order to make it a year to remember......... Easter Sunday this year was a very long day for some of the luckiest Cubs in the Pack. At a dawn-breaking 6:30am we all met outside our HQ, piled into the minibus and headed to our destination - YHA Thameside, Rotherhithe, London. During our four days stay we travelled on the London Eye, went to the London Dungeons, visited Baden-Powell House, experienced the Science Museum, met many famous characters at Madame Tussauds, saw the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, we watched the Changing of the Houre-Guard Parade and did a lot of travelling on the London Underground! Please mind the gap. We also went to see Mr. Bean's Holiday at the cinema and spent some time playing football (and beating up Akela) in a local park. The Youth Hostel was lovely; the staff were fantastic, as was the accommodation and food. A truly memorable Pack Holiday. |
