After a very wet and soggy 2007 at Bala it was nice to be able to have control of the Minibus whilst driving it across the campsite, rather than having the feeling, at any moment, the entire vehicle will slide into the next field or even worse, sink! The weather this year was glorious.

All the Scouts that took part, from our Group and others, enjoyed every aspect of the weekend - making new friends, renewing old friendships, going out on the water and not least the fish 'n' chips on the lakeside Saturday evening.

The Scouts were working towards various BCU awards on the water and were given the opportunity to try canoeing, kayaking and bell-boating on Bala Lake.

The best thing about the whole camp is that every Scout we took said "I'm coming back next year" at the end of it. What a result!
